Purpose:

This policy outlines the guidelines and expectations for employees who choose to work remotely from any location within the United States. Vision Labs is committed to providing flexibility in work arrangements while ensuring that business operations continue to run smoothly.

Scope:

This policy applies to all full-time and part-time employees of Vision Labs. Contractors and temporary employees should refer to the terms of their specific agreements or consult with their managers for further details.

Eligibility:

All employees of Vision Labs are eligible to work remotely from any state within the United States, including all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Work Location:

Employees have the flexibility to choose their work location within the United States. However, employees must inform their manager and the Human Resources department of their current work location to ensure compliance with state-specific regulations.

Compliance with Local Laws:

Employees are responsible for adhering to all local, state, and federal laws that apply to their work location. This includes, but is not limited to, tax obligations, labor laws, and any other legal requirements.

Availability and Communication:

Employees must maintain regular communication with their managers and team members during standard working hours, regardless of their location. Employees are expected to be available for meetings, calls, and other work-related activities as required.

Technology and Equipment:

Employees are expected to ensure they have a reliable internet connection and all necessary equipment to perform their work effectively. Vision Labs will provide support for company-issued devices and software as needed.

Travel and Expenses:

Any work-related travel must be pre-approved by the employee’s manager, and expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Vision Labs’ travel policy.

Security and Confidentiality:

Employees must ensure that all company data and information are protected according to Vision Labs’ security policies, regardless of their work location. Employees should use secure networks and follow all cybersecurity guidelines.

Performance Expectations & Hours:

The expectations for job performance, productivity, and deadlines remain consistent with those established for in-office work based within 3 hours of the PST timezone. Employees are expected to meet or exceed the standards set for their roles.
